I just flew back from a trip to see my parents. I’ve returned home very late. My one family is sleeping. However, I had the small joy
-well, big joy actually but, seeing as you don’t know me, my words may make it seem as if my family is less important to me than they truly are, but I digress- of having Rabassa’s fine translation of Rayuela in my mailbox!
It is from Rabassa’s memoir, If This Be Treason, that I learned of Cortázar.
So, why am I telling you this? Because I found your page just as you explained one probably would: I had Google’d for advice on which approach to take first: straight through OR in hopscotch fashion, using the number at the end of each chapter.
Alas, I still don’t know which approach to take.
Thanks for your article and the opportunity to leave my comment.
