PROJECT TYPE: Advocacy + NGOs Stop Hate Dump Trump
In the early phases of the 2016 US Presidential election, a group of inspirational progressive leaders watched as Donald Trump’s primary nomination candidacy gained popularity based around hate speech that is misogynistic, islamophobic and racist. They decided they must act to do something. Tectonica built and launched a rapid action campaign to mobilize those who refuse to allow hate to go unchecked. Within a few days a movement took off and tens of thousands had signed the petition, gaining major media attention (and even earning several minutes of spite by Bill O'Reilly on Fox), and birthing what would transform into a greater movement of resistance to Trump's tyrannical rise.
