It's Time: Tectonica Has Its Own New Website

We’ve got big news to announce today: Tectonica has a brand new website.

One night not so long ago, Tectonica’s CEO Ned Howey jolted up in bed in the middle of the night with the concern, ”Does anyone really know what we do?!” While we were still getting lavish praise for the design of our website, the site itself had six years of history (with a small make-over a couple years ago) and described a company that was barely recognisable in the entity that Tectonica has grown to be.

In that six year period, we have gone far beyond the work of a simple web studio working in progressive politics. We’ve expanded to offer a broader range of services to meet the full range of digital organising needs of our clients from intensive strategic planning, to working on numerous political platforms, and supporting clients with ongoing campaigning needs. The focus of our work has developed a more clear grounding deeply rooted in a belief that organising methods that engage and coordinate supporters guide every part of our process: #OrganisingOverMessaging. We’ve even created a network consisting of hundreds of digital organisers working for progressive campaigns and organisations around the world.

Tectonica’s growth jumped to hyperdrive since the relocation of its headquarters to Barcelona, at the beginning of 2019. Since that time, the team has almost doubled. We have been lucky to welcome new team members from all over the world with experience as journalists, novelists, attorneys, children’s book writers, visual artists, engineers, and entrepreneurs. We proudly won the Reed Award for Best International Firm in 2019, and for Best Website this year for our work with the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.

It was time for a new website. Really, it was time.

This new site aims to show the world the company we have become.

First and foremost it displays the expanded scope of work we now conduct for clients and the process and philosophy underlying it all. It shows examples of the impact of this work through the many incredible projects we have supported.

It also highlights the values that drive our company and define our mission. While Tectonica has always been led by its values, it was not until 2019 that we took the time to formally review, discuss, and put these values into writing.

And finally, the site shares our most important asset, and the one that sets us apart: our incredibly diverse and talented team.

We hope you love the changes to our website as much as we do. It’s a privilege to be able to share this new chapter for Tectonica with you and we look forward to continuing to work together to make big progressive change possible!
